Yard Drainage Solutions That Actually Solve the Problem
French drains, yard grading, erosion control, and standing-water fixes. Sometimes a cheap fix does the job. Sometimes it doesn’t. We’ll tell you which one you need before we quote it.

All Drainage Services
French Drain Installation
Subsurface drains that collect groundwater and route it away from your foundation, your yard, or your problem spot.
Yard Grading & Re-sloping
Reshaping the surface of your yard so water moves where you want it instead of pooling where you don’t.
Downspout Extensions
Burying downspout lines so roof water gets carried 10, 20, or 50 feet away from the foundation instead of dumping right next to it.
Catch Basins & Drain Inlets
Surface drains that collect water from low spots and tie into the rest of your drainage system.
Erosion Control
Retaining walls, vegetation stabilization, blankets, and engineered solutions for slopes that are losing soil.
Commercial Grading
Parking lot grading, site drainage planning, and the kind of grade work that keeps a commercial property from flooding.
More about Our Drainage Solutions
We handle residential and commercial drainage across Northeast Ohio, from French drains, yard grading, erosion control, downspout extensions, and standing-water fixes.
French Drain Installation
A French drain is a trench dug below the problem area, filled with gravel, with a perforated pipe running through it. The water collects in the gravel, gets into the pipe, and flows out to wherever the grade lets it go. Done right, a French drain is the most reliable fix for groundwater problems.
The work that matters is in the parts you can’t see after backfill: how deep the trench goes, what fabric wraps the pipe, what kind of stone fills the trench, and where the discharge end terminates. A French drain installed without fabric will clog with silt in a few years. One that terminates in a low spot just moves the water 20 feet.
Yard Grading
A lot of drainage problems are grading problems. If the yard slopes toward the house instead of away from it, no amount of pipe will fix that. We grade the yard back to where it should be: a slight slope away from the foundation, swales running to natural drainage points, and high spots cut down where they’re trapping water.
Erosion Control
For slopes that are washing out, we look at the cause before the fix. If it’s water volume, the answer is usually a catch basin or swale to slow the flow before it hits the slope. If it’s the slope itself, retaining walls, blankets, or planted stabilization. The grain farm background helps here. We understand how Ohio soil moves when it gets too much water.
The Honest Drainage Conversation
Drainage is the service where homeowners get sold the most unnecessary work. A $15,000 system isn’t always the answer. Sometimes a $400 downspout extension solves the same problem. We come out, look at the actual water path on your property, and tell you the truth: this is a simple fix, or this is a real project.
